The Internet is the infrastructure originally known as 'ARPANET 'and has been around since 1947, and is basically the 'hardware' upon which the 'World Wide Web' (software') sits. If the 'Web' were to disappear overnight, the Internet would still remain because it's HARDWARE NOT SOFTWARE.

1:30 - THERMOS - I think she means 'Thermos' not 'Thermo'. Just goes to show that some people don't know what they're talking about, and subsequently pass on their ignorance to others. Thermos is the brand name of an insulated flask that keeps hot drinks hot for longer. There's a video of Fred Dinah taking his lunch between chimney demolition duties and he keeps his tea in a Thermos flask.

So in other words: underclass, working class, middle class 1, middle class 2, middle class 3, middle class 4, upper class.

I am of Indian descent (but not Indian), and I can tell you that the class system in modern India had very little to do with the caste system in the way you're thinking of it. In fact, what were traditionally the lower castes now have more opportunities for increasing their social, economic, and cultural capital above that of the traditional higher-caste Indians, and those same high-caste Indians are now villainised, many times unfairly in modern Indian society. In a nutshell, the caste system is not parallel to the class system. Just wanted to put that out there. :)

Bali is 3 hours from Perth and I've had flights for $200 return. My wife gets 6 weeks leave. Salaries, overall, are much higher than the UK. They just are. Most of what you're posting is your experience only I'm afraid. Almost most of it us nonsense too.

Sydney to Ningaloo will use the same amount of aviation fuel as any other flight of the same distance. That’s why transport costs within Oz are so high. Even if it’s the same country, it is like travelling from the UK to Eastern Europe. Weird to compare travelling between places that are clumped together, with a vast island continent, and whinge about obvious incomparable features.

In retrospect, I believe it was the class system that caused me to relocate from UK to Japan. And more importantly, caused me to stay for two blocks of 20 years (40 years altogether). I've always said data with the long A. Apparently that's the "British" pronunciation. Like you say it. I was recently speaking to my wife about this. I feel like we Americans have always mostly used to say it like you and I but it's recently changed. Most people are followers and will do anything to fit in so it makes sense how it happened. The internet sped up a lot of processes. There's another word that's changed here also. Oh and you have the brits and American version swapped in your vid. We don't do the r at the end. The bits do that with any word that ends with a vowel sound if it's followed by a word that begins with a vowel sound. Side note. : I have a crush on you starting 5 min ago. ;)

I like your perception of the class system i.e. those who work are working class, regardless of the work itself. This makes it much simpler and less divisive. Either that, or we are all middle class, except for the aristocracy.

I don't remember and escalation of racist violence associated with Brexit?? Children killing children (particularly siblings ) has always happened, but generally they don't get convicted , as usually the children know each other. A typical day in UK ( England ) from an American perspective We shower without brushing our teeth before or after Eat toast & beans for breakfast Clean our portrait of the King Go to work and just have banter all day whilst drinking tea and having biscuits during breaks After work we'll go the pub again more banter On our way home we'll sing the anthem because we love our King Again beans are a must with anything quick & suitable Grab another cup of tea whilst saying cheers to our King potrait Watch the weather report for next day so we can talk about it before going in the shower Then go bed without brushing our teeth To be honest I'd rather eat beans on toast than that processed unsafe junk most Americans eat

I hate how people compare UK to Australia . Leave these two countries alone . Every country has good and bad points . Just live your life to the fullest . This lady has been out of Australia for sone time now and she does nit know what is going on . We do have nice restaurant food in Australia . If you look you will find . Both countries are expensive now , especially after Covid . You get 4 weeks holiday . Christmas break is a public holiday . Sydney transport system is being updated and we will be having trains every three minutes . Please appreciate both countries, as no country is perfect . Thank you !
